The Great Western Alpaca Show 2007
We are very proud of our Maddie who took third place in her class at The Great Western Alpaca Show. There were over 1,300 alpacas there. This was our first show and we learned quite a bit which was our intent. To take home a ribbon was beyond our dreams. We knew Maddie was a great alpaca and she proved us right. The whole weekend was great even though we started off with a blown tire on the truck on the way down to Denver from Casper. Our biggest lesson was not to use wood chips for the alpacas to lay on in the trailer on the way to a show. They both looked like we had dusted them with corn flakes. We were able to meet new owners and breeders and also see friends we haven't seen for a while and even some friends that we only knew through e-mail. What a great weekend.
