We are currently continuing to work toward a quality alpaca foundation herd. All alpacas at Sun Gate carry a certificate of registration with the Alpaca Registry Inc. (ARI) of North America. If you see an alpaca that you are interested in please contact us. We are certainly open to discussing our animals and doing business with you. Purchasing alpacas is a big investment, but they also bring a rewarding and pleasurable lifestyle. We offer sound advice and on-going support to our buyers. Financing is available to interested and qualified parties. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards via PayPal. Package deals are also available. We guarantee a 30-day live birth. If boarding (agistment) an animal is of interest and need, we offer this service and would like to discuss our care and fees along with a personal visit to our ranch. Sun Gate offers a limited free boarding with purchases which can extend up to a $1,200 value with purchases.

Amy is our oldest, but one of our finest girls. She is Sun Gate’s matriarch. Amy is a very experienced mom and has produced some of the best traits we’ve see in several of our crias here at Sun Gate. Amy has provided us with three wonderful female crias, one female (Maddie) won third place in Halter performance at the 2007 Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver. This female's full fleece also took a blue ribbon at the 2008 Fall Festival sponsored by Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies. Her 2008, cria is from our boy, Pippin. This cria, Carlos, is a handsome medium brown and white boy with wonderful fleece qualities. We plan to show more of her prodigy and feel very positive about the superb quality of her crias. We plan to leave Amy open for a breeding with a herdsire of buyer's choice. Amy is being offered at $5,000. This offer includes a breeding to a Sun Gate herdsire of buyer's choice. Pachacutec (Pach for short) is named after the Inca Emperor who built Machu Picchu. This young fellow is mostly a medium brown with darker nose and legs. His 2007 fleece had an above average density and an AFD of 19.9 and a comfort factor of 97.4%. His fleece has become a little coarser with age, so we are offering him as a pet/fiber boy. Pach has great conformation along a gentle personality. Pachacutec is currently offered at $600 or as part of a package deal with another Sun Gate male. A new package currently being offered is Pachacutec and Bandido for $1,000 OR as part of our 4 pet/fiber boys package at $2,000. All reasonable offers will be considered!

Gelded fiber/companion Boys
Sun Gate is offering two gelded boys for sale. You might wonder why buy a gelded animal? We have found these two boys to be excellent companions in pastures with our yearlings, as great fiber contributors, and as a companion for a traveling or quarantined animal. These animals also are great pets and would make good 4-H projects for kids interested in alpacas yet not wanting to pay market price for breeding stock. These two boys may be sold individually, as a package of two, or combined with any of the males or females listed. Remember that alpacas are highly stressed to live alone and need others of their kind around them for comfort and security. Because of this, we do not want to sell just one animal knowingly without a companion. If you are interested, but don’t have the facilities for an animal, please visit with us about boarding animals.

Marcello is "big guy" that produces many skeins of off white yarn/roving that can be used naturally or dyed to compliment a creative idea. Milo’s fleece produces a very nice natural heather tan yarn. He would be an excellent companion animal for others. We have seen a big improvement in his disposition since being gelded.
